Cake Greta Garbo

It took : In a bowl rub the yeast with the sugar until liquefied, then add the butter, eggs one at a time, mixing after each, until incorporated into the butter, then sour cream, grated lemon peel and finally flour mixed with salt. Homogenize the dough, without kneading it too much, then let it rise for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, place the dough on the floured table and divide it into 4 equal parts.

We take a piece of dough, we spread it (with floured hands) on a baking paper, then using a rolling pin through the flour, we give it a rectangular shape (23 * 35 cm) and we place it carefully in the baking tray , helping us with the baking paper.

Grease with apricot jam and sprinkle ground walnuts mixed with sugar. Place the second sheet of dough, grease it with jam and sprinkle ground walnuts mixed with sugar, the 3rd as well, and leave the 4th sheet empty

Let the cake rise for about 30 minutes, then put it in the preheated oven, over medium heat, for 45 minutes.


Let the cake cool in the pan, then spread the icing over it.

Glaze : melt the broken chocolate pieces together with the milk and butter, on a steam bath or in a double-bottomed saucepan, over low heat. Homogenize, let it cool a bit and then spread the icing over the cake.

The recipe is by Silvia Jurcovan, with modification only for the filling. The book reads as follows: 400 g of jam (I respected), 1/4 kg of ground walnuts (I put 350 g, because I thought they were a few nuts), 1/2 kg of sugar (I 200 g, because I it seemed a bit much), 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (I respected).

Cake Greta Garbo

-350gr flour
-3 tablespoons sugar
-1 or
-1 pack of Unirea margarine
- half a nut of yeast
-100gr milk
-a little ammonia
-smells: vanilla, cinnamon, lemon
cream
-200gr.nuts
-200gr. Old powder
optionally use 1 jar of jam (plum is more viscous)
-glaze: 150gr.old
-3 tablespoons of cocoa
-3 tablespoons water

Obs: put them all in the bowl at the same time, when it has become a viscous composition, remove from the heat and pour hot over the first sheet.

Method of preparation:

Mix the egg with the sugar and margarine, add the milk, the yeast dissolved in a little warm water, the ammonia quenched with vinegar, the smells and finally incorporate the flour resulting in a dough. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts than.

Line the tray with flour after it has been previously greased with oil and spread the first sheet obtained, over which the cream obtained is added, repeating the operation for the other sheets.
After it stays in the oven until it browns, take it out and leave it to cool, when it is cold, pour the icing
Preferably cut diamonds.

Greta Garbo cake or as it is called Jerbo is a fine cake, with tender dough that melts in your mouth and with a sweet-sour filling that combines perfectly with finely ground walnuts and chocolate icing!

INGREDIENT:

For crumbly dough:

-125 g of butter at room temperature

-12 g of fresh yeast or 4 g of dry yeast

-grated peel of ½ lemon.

For the filling:

-450 g of apricot jam

Pin chocolate icing:

-100 g of dark chocolate

-1 tablespoon of sunflower oil (odorless) or other vegetable oil.

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. In a bowl add the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and grated peel of half a lemon. Mix with a whisk until smooth. Add the egg and egg yolk. Mix well.

2. In a smaller bowl add the cream and dissolve the yeast in it. Stir until all the yeast has dissolved. Transfer to a bowl of butter.

3. Add the flour in slices. Mix well until you get a smooth and smooth ball.

4. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, form balls and let them rest for 15-20 minutes.
